Christopher Peter Meloni has been a popular American actor for a number of years. He is most famous for his roles was in "Law & Order Special Victims Unit". From his early college days Meloni had a keen interest in the field of acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies as well as on TV but it's the characters portrayed on small screens which have earned him acclaim. This is not surprising since he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either sides of the law. He played the part of a serial murderer in the first TV series he appeared in but later went on to play the role of an NYPD detective. Numerous times, he was recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his striking blue eyes that are regarded to be a trademark and have aided in depicting the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
